Cleaning Beer Lines
Supplies Needed:

  • Beer Line Cleaner (BLC)
  • Spanner Wrench
  • Brush
  • Cleaning Bottle with Hose
  • 5 Gallon Bucket (BLC Bucket)
  • Small Bowl

Steps:

  1. Turn off CO2 and Regulator if connected
  2. Remove faucet using spanner wrench
  3. Disassemble faucet, brush, and soak in water with BLC in small bowl
  4. Add one cap of BLC to cleaning bottle with hot watter
  5. Connect cleaning bottle to faucet shank
  6. Pump BLC solution through lines into a 5 gallon bucket
  7. Repeat with clean water to rinse BLC from lines
  8. Disconnect cleaning jar and pump and reinstall faucet with spanner wrench
  9. Turn on regulator and CO2

Kegging
Supplies Needed:

  • Keg
  • Professional Brewer's Wash (PBW)
  • CO2
  • Sponge
  • Siphon
  • Sanitizer (StarSan/Iodophor)
  • Graduated Cylinder
  • Hydrometer
  • Thermometer

Steps:

  1. Place fermenter on elevated surface
  2. Soak keg with PBW for 30 min
  3. Sanitize keg and siphon with sanitizer
  4. Transfer beer from fermenter into keg
  5. Pull sample of beer for tasting and measurements
  6. Close and purge keg
  7. Record observations, temperature, and gravity reading
  8. Clean and rinse fermenter and siphon
